It’s a beautiful world I’m sure you’d agree but sadly distorted by pressures and politics, by destructive comparisons and lack of satisfaction. We are taught so little as young adults preparing to go out into the world of business and responsibility, where we do all we can to find solid ground and a firm footing but so often find overwhelm, disappointment and pressures that continue to mount up. It’s so frenetic and not surprising that anxiety is prevalent as many stive to survive. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could put everyone and everything in slow motion and inject a massive dose of love.
I have now worked in the business of property for 3 decades and learnt what I’d always believed to be true, that I loved property, but more so people. I am passionate about helping others believe in who they are and rise to the challenge of life, the up and downs, and the high and lows that it most definitely encompasses. I have found if we teach with empathy and integrity with constant shakings of love, not only do we have the energy to do it again and again but our purpose flows out of our passion naturally.
The Power of love in the business of Property changes everything, I mean everything. Striving is something that dissipates, no longer do we panic when something happens that’s out of our control, people are edified and enabled and contentment comes before the desperation for money. But to me it shows (and has the greatest effect) in the way that we communicate with one another, the way we speak to one another and take time for one another. There are enough hard-nosed professionals trampling on anyone or anything to get to their desired destination without the need for yet more, so I challenge you all today to consider honesty, integrity, empathy and enthusiasm and a shaking of love and you will find people will want to be around you, they will have the DESIRE to work with. Let’s pay it forward, step up to the mark, remind ourselves of what really matters and add a dose of love to our business today.
