Life doesn't happen

Life doesn’t happen to you it happens for you
Many people strive in jobs they don’t like because they want to create security for their families. They live to work rather than work to live often just to survive. I understand that it may seem responsible and the thing to do, but this ultimately means they sacrifice their adult life spending the majority of their time doing what causes stress and unhappiness, just to create an income to support the ones they love.
But……. It is stated that in the near future there will be 50% less jobs, perhaps even more, so how many people will be ‘let go’, be made redundant, only to find themselves desperately trying to make ends meet, to stay above water in order to avoid drowning in debt and desperation, disillusioned and depressed.
What I am trying to say is, if you can fail at what you DON’T want to do or like, surely you might as well take a chance on doing what you like, what appeals to you, what you love.
I understand risk is scary, but calculated risk is good. Maybe in your world, it’s time to step out of the boat?
